A Midlands manufacturing company is going from strength to strength, with increased orders, increased workforce and increased production facilities, greatly defying the generally accepted idea that UK manufacturers’ are a dying breed, and a recent successful exhibition at the NEC has helped them to win even more orders.
CMA Moldform Ltd, a well established moulding and casting business based in Birmingham, took a stand at this year's Automotive Engineering 2012 exhibition, part of the Advanced Engineering UK 2012 group of events, held at the NEC in November. The event was billed as "The UK's most exciting showcase of engineering technologies, capabilities and services", and CMA feel that it certainly lived up to its name!
Peter Turnock, Managing Director of CMA Moldform said "We had a constant stream of visitors to our stand which has led to a whole host of good quality, interesting enquiries which we are now following up. We are in talks with some major players in the automotive and aerospace industries and have already obtained orders as a result of the show, including one from a luxury marque vehicle manufacturer for new production parts, which they require before Christmas!" We feel that the exhibition has given us the opportunity to showcase our products and services to a wide variety of top tier potential customers and will enable us to bring on board some new high calibre business.”
CMA Moldform Ltd has a wide range of clients across many industries, including automotive, marine, medical, electronic, art and engineering sectors and is a tier-one rapid prototype supplier to success story Jaguar Land Rover. To cope with their rapidly expanding, successful business, CMA Moldform are adding a night shift to keep up with delivery schedules and are currently fitting out nearly 20k more square feet of space which will virtually double the production area available and so increase their production capacity.
